My name is Ivan Roštár, I live in Slovakia. The fall of the Iron Curtain in 1989 allowed me to fulfill my childhood dreams of exploring distant countries. My first trip was to Thailand. I was so fascinated by the different culture, nature, and people that traveling became my hobby. I remember carrying about 30 rolls of film in my backpack on this trip. From that moment on, my camera has accompanied me on every trip. I have been using Nikon equipment practically from the beginning.
I am not a professional photographer, I am a self-taught amateur. I try to capture a moment with my camera that evokes emotion. As a traveler, I was enchanted by the island of Papua, which I have visited several times. Recently, I have also been trying to photograph wild animals in Africa.
